Types of Publications

The journal Philosophy and Cosmology publishes the following types of articles and materials:

  • Original research articles;
  • Review articles;
  • Reviews.

Original research articles present original ideas and report theoretical, empirical, experimental, and/or methodological advances in relevant fields of scholarly inquiry. The journal welcomes the reporting of null or negative results, as well as the reanalysis of previous studies that yield new findings or confirm earlier results.

Review articles provide a balanced and comprehensive overview of recent developments in a specific field and summarise topics that have not yet been sufficiently covered in the published literature. Reviews must be based on peer-reviewed sources and must not contain new data or novel hypotheses.

Reviews. Reviews of scholarly and educational publications in philosophy and cosmology should offer readers a clear understanding and comprehensive information about the most recent monographs and educational works, highlighting the strengths and/or weaknesses of the reviewed publication in comparison with works on similar topics.

Editor’s Preface. The Editor-in-Chief may prepare an editor’s preface containing information about the key articles of the issue, changes in the journal’s editorial policy, and related matters. In the case of a special issue devoted to a particular theme or problem, guest editors invited to collaborate on the issue are also entitled to prepare an introductory foreword for the special issue.
